What is a PPG?

Posted 15/01/2014

Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) exist in GP surgeries as a way for patients to work with GPs and practice staff to improve local services and the quality of care; improve communication with patients and promote health and well-being as well as ensuring practices remain accountable and responsive to patient needs. PPGs generally have their own agreed terms of reference and should act as representatives of their wide patient population.
