More controls proposed over online pharmacies

Public views are sought on proposals from the General Pharmaceutical Council to require online pharmacies to put in place new safeguards to protect people who want to obtain medicines online, including opiates, antibiotics, asthma inhalers and Botox.

The General Pharmaceutical Council sets standards for pharmacy professionals and pharmacies and acts to protect the public if there are concerns about pharmacy services.

Give your views on this consultation by filling in an online survey or email communications@pharmacyregulation.org to request a copy of the discussion paper survey in another format (for example, in larger type
or in a different language).
