Here are the latest ratings for Reading services:
Quality Care Providers a care home for up to six people with learning disabilities in Southcote, Reading, has been rated overall as ‘good’, after an unannounced inspection in October 2018. ‘The exceptionally stable staff team had continued to develop strong relationships with people to better support them as individuals,’ the report states. Report published: 6 November 2018
Abbey Medical Centre: ‘Requires Improvement’. The GP practice covers almost 2,500 patients and has to improve staff training and medicines storage. Some patients hadn’t felt involved in care decisions. Report published: 15 November 2018
The Care Quality Commission rates services after visiting NHS or social care organisations. It checks if services are Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. Each of these five categories are rated individually (as Outstanding, Good, Requires Improvement, or Inadequate) and then an overall rating is given.
