The private Forbury Clinic in Reading has made safety changes following an inspection visit by the Care Quality Commission.

The CQC published reports on 28 December 2017, about the clinic’s surgical and other services provided from buildings in Craven Road, and Kendrick Road.

During the inspection, carried out in October 2017, the CQC , the Forbury Clinic was asked to make immediate safety improvements, to start receiving patient safety alerts that would highlight any necessary changes it would need to make. The inspection also showed the clinic needed to review which medicines needed to be on hand in emergencies.

Otherwise, the CQC said the clinic was providing effective and caring care, and 46 comment cards collected from patients during the visit, all gave positive feedback.
